The Salone del Mobile 2011 and Fuori Salone is finished. And now?

What do you think about this edition of Salone del Mobile 2011 and Fuori Salone? We saw a few design fun and exciting, a lot less intensity as in previous years, especially from Fuori Salone events. Less events, less installations, fewer design projects, but many scenographies to attract attention, not to show a project or a design object.

Thi is the last installation for this year's Fuori Salone that we have visited. It is the first time that a designer, sponsored by a famous brand of smartphone, offers us a lunch and a break in total relax, not the usual drink.

Nice hotel Nhow

At Hotel Nhow funny ideas like the modern piano, made as usual from European concept, shaped like a fish, or furniture and household objects in colored plastic. But haven't already seen it before?

Again from northern Europe in these installations. This year has beent the year of Nordic design ...

Visual emotions

Great visual emotions in the space of Canon: light, colors, pictures and sounds to attract attention. From this point of view also here Japanese know how to surprise. Above, one very special small installation with "baskets" made of paper and cut with a normal pressure cutter. The paper is manageable, changes shape and does not break. But the purpose?

We start with an interesting and colorful exhibition by Missoni and Richerd Ginori
in via Solferino, for Brera Design District.
Overall, this new entry of Fuori Salone (Brera Distrit Design) has been particular pretty generous.
Should still grow, in our opinion. Location is interesting but should be treated a little bit better.
